The 61-year-old “Million Dollar Man,” who is a regular Lottery player, is feeling lucky after switching up his routine and swapping his regular “Racetrax” and other scratchers to “Hot 777” which landed him a million dollar prize.

On the day the newly minted millionaire won his fortune, things actually started off on the wrong foot, he said.

When he arrived at work, the bus driver said that he realized he left his phone at home, though he subsequently had a premonition that “something out of the normal” would happen to him that day, despite it kicking off on a poor note.

Sure enough, on his way home to fetch his phone, “Million Dollar Man” stopped at Royal Farms on East Joppa Road in Baltimore to test his luck and play his Lottery numbers.

The veteran Maryland Lottery player won small on his first purchase, then took a shot at a $20 “Hot 777” scratcher due to it’s $1 million top prize, he said.

Initially, the driver was ecstatic when he thought he won a whopping $1,000. It wasn’t until he scanned the ticket that he realized that his life was about to change.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen that many zeros together,” he said, according to Lottery officials. He said that as a weekly lotto player, he’s won a few thousand dollars before but couldn’t believe his luck on this ticket.

With his winning, the doting grandfather of four says he plans to invest his newfound cash for his family.

"Million Dollar Man" represents the second of the game's $1 million top prize, with four still remaining and waiting to be sold.
